Familiar Energies is a quest for level 88-90 in Voidstorm. It is step 3 of 11 in the To Be Changed storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Voidstorm at 57.5, 78.6. It rewards 12,850 experience and money.
I know that Hieron died here, but I feel echoes of someone else--of a great clash, where Void met Void. Hieron must have crossed blades with someone... something else. Something that's still out there.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

There is one unresolved matter... <Astre reaches into their pocket and reveals the worn letter you had unpackaged alongside Hieron's journal. They run their fingers over it with a pensive expression.> Hieron wanted her to have it. She should know what happened to him. This is on me.

I've heard from the other scouts about that metal--the shadowgraft. The domanaar use it to enforce their control over others. I have to imagine that there's someone holding the reins still. Maybe it's Xal'atath, or maybe someone else.
