Free Your Mind

Free Your Mind is a quest for level 25-30 in Icecrown. It is step 69 of 167 in the Icecrown storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Icecrown at 44.2, 24.7. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money.

Description

Vile, Lady Nightswood, and The Leaper would make excellent weapons in the fight against the Lich King if they can be broken from his will. That is what the Sovereign Rod is for.

You'll find them on the ledges to the east and west of the vault, as well as on the mid-tier of the vault above us. The rod is to be used upon the corpses of the three.

Fly now. We will have them as our own!

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • I Have an Idea, But First...Icecrown · Level 25-30

When I was in the - ahem - employ of the Lich King, we would often use a device known as a sovereign rod to keep some of the more intelligent Scourge in line. I require that you assist me in the construction of a new one.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • If He Cannot Be TurnedIcecrown · Level 25-30

Death knights, such as General Lightsbane, are held on too tight of a leash to be able to be turned from the Lich King's will except under the most extraordinary circumstances. The general keeps himself within the vault overseeing the creation of new weapons.
