At least two of the three targets have names strikingly similar of those of previously known eredar: Lord Jaraxxus and Tyrant Velhari. Aargon could be Aargoss.
Remember some eredar changed their names when they became demons (see WoD: Othaar would later be known as Socrethar). They could very well be the same characters, before and after joining the Legion.

You can use the Lightforged Warframe - from the Vindicaar's Matrix Core.
It makes "Mastery" easy.
Challenge one of the pupils.
Move enough to Crusader Leap (ability 3), onto the one you've challenged, and it's dead.
Continue.
You can defeat all three, in three leaps, with time to spare.
Speak to Y'mera and she'll tell you clearly who they are: Jaraxxus, Aargoss, and Velysra.

What to do
Description
Archimonde was an individual consumed by the pursuit of power. Only those who could match his lust would fare well under his tutelage. You will fight what remains of Archimonde's greatest pupils. These three once held such power in their own disciplines that the Conservatory remembers them now. Their echoes will try to kill you. Best all three with all your limbs intact and I will recognize your strength.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Gatekeeper's Challenge: Cunning
Archimonde expected greatness from his pupils. Only the most imaginative minds, the most adroit of intellects, could ever truly fathom the deepest reaches of our magic. I doubt you can relate. The path to the left will take you to a set of three statues. Use them to collect a Mark of Cunning.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Defiler's Legacy
It seems you are not so easily deterred. Very well. Your deeds qualify you to seek the Sigil. To be clear, I am only permitting you to move on. This does not guarantee your success. The greatest of your challenges lies before you. You must go to the Praetorium and face Archimonde himself.
