The cutscene happened, but I couldn't see any of the speech bubbles nor did I see any action. The tauren runs up to her and just stands there in front of her, nothing happens. Then it ended after about 15 seconds of waiting. The problem then is that the quest completes, but Gidwin Goldbraids is still on the table and you can't turn the quest in.
If you have this same problem, abandon the quest, pick it up again, and enter into the slaughterhouse to replay the cutscene.
So relieved, gotta admit I thought Blizzard was going to pull a Crusader Bridenbrad with this guy.
Did anyone else get a classic-style RPG feel from this quest?
It's a classic story of:
*Party Member is Kidnapped*
*You set out to find them alone/with 1-2 others*
*You find them, only to have the boss be all "Only *** of you?"*
*No, there's *** of us!"
*Kills boss*Made me so nostalgic. xD

The note is from Baroness Anastari, and it describes a ritual that is about to happen in the Plaguewood's central slaughterhouse - just south of where Tarenar is at. This could be where they're holding Gidwin! Tarenar will want to know about this... and quickly, before it's too late!

I've had just about enough of the funk of this place. Undead stink is bad enough, and then you add mushrooms to the mix? I hate mushrooms! I'm going to head back to Light's Hope Chapel, <name>... and I'm taking Tarenar and Fiona with me. I think we've all earned a well-deserved break.
