First thing you have to do is try to mount a mole to begin the quest. You'll get kicked off then pick up a grub and give it to a mole to mount it. The rest is self explanatory.
I think this is the first quest that made me laugh instead of curse.
Thanks for clarifying the grub part - because we picked it up in the first place and it shows as complete, I wasn't aware we had to do that each time we approached a mole. Instead, I kept clicking the mole and getting booted around :P You have to click the grub first, then the mole - you'll know it accepted the grub when you're allowed to ride.
