Honestly, I'm glad to see Maldra turn Alexstraza down and wait to see how things actually turn out. It would have been a little disappointing if everyone immediately went 'well, the dragons SAID everything would be better so let's immediately go along with it without making sure that's going to be true!' Maldra has the right idea in that actions are louder than words.

My only real complaint about this is that we never actually *see* the drakonid or dragonkin forced out and/or into service. We're just told it happens. The rebellion seemed to come out of nowhere, and the poor treatment all entirely happens off-screen.

Pretty mediocre writing and thinly veiled social commentary on how the powers that be (the dragonflights) have a monopoly on violence, and get to choose whether or not they are held accountable for their actions. Alexstraza recognizes that both the dragonflights and Belephon have done evil things, but that only Belephon must be punished and that the dragonflights simply need to "do better." This is the point in the story where if the player had any agency, they would be given a chance to overthrow the dragonflights.

Description

My hope, {name}, is that our work to understand the rebels will allow us to find a path to peace. My concern is if we are not able to come to an understanding with Belaphon, other rebels may see her as a martyr for the cause. Whatever happens, you have my gratitude for your assistance throughout this rebellion.

This is it, <name>. As the one propagating the ideas that drive the rebellion, if we can stop Belaphon, we'll see the end of the rebellion. Try to bind her with my ring, though you'll likely need to weaken her first. If she's willing to surrender, we'll bring her to Alexstrasza.
