If you are confused how to purify the shiny roots or the treant tenders, you need to use the quest item Purifying Tangle. It does not currently show up as an action button on your quest bar, it goes straight to your bags, and if your bags were full, and they probably were, you need to leave the world quest area, make bag space and come back in to receive it.
Might even need to leave the World Quest area and log out and back in to reset it.
Use the Purifying Tangle in your bags and then drop the circle on the Treant Tenders or the shiny roots the druids are setting on fire. It doesn't really do anything to the druids except make them neutral for a few seconds until they break free of the roots, but it is odd that it has an effect.
Make sure you are not still in a raid for world boss and Superbloom. After that try leaving the quest area and logging out and back in. This has a chance to fix it by resetting the status of you not being in a raid. Sometimes it gets stuck and you don't get quest credit for regular quests because the game still counts you as in a raid group.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

/way #2200 62.3 53.1Map coordinates of the pins above. An area the client draws as a shape is given by the centre of its points.
Quests whose map markers the client places closest to this one on Emerald Dream, nearest first. Distances are straight lines between the markers.
Flight points closest to the quest’s first objective area marker on Emerald Dream:
Straight-line distances in yards between the quest’s own map markers (QuestPOI) and the client’s flight-point positions (TaxiNodes); flight paths and terrain are not modelled.
First seen in build 12.0.7.68887 (Midnight patch 12.0.7, the oldest build in our datamine).
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.

I have both an icon for it and it's in my bags, but when I use it to put a circle on a treant or fiery roots, I don't get credit for that. I also don't get credit for killing the druids.
