Ashen Soil

Ashen Soil is a quest for level 10-80 in Emerald Dream. It is step 2 of 8 in the Druids of the Flame storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Emerald Dream at 51.3, 43.0. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

It seems the Druids of the Flame wasted no time in seeking to expand their influence.

Deep within these barrow dens, some manner of corruption has taken root. It will spread if left unchecked, consuming the entire den before expanding outwards to threaten the rest of the dream.

Time is short, <name>. Delve into the barrow, seek out the sources of the spreading flame, and excise them before the smoldering embers can grow and spread.

This quest is bugged for me. I can find the druid of the flame and she talks and talks - Tyrande also arrives and tells me to meet her topside but the druid doesn't disappear and I don't get the "druid of the flame" found.

Fix this please :)

The above is great and applies to horde as well - you are basically going in and then looping around on the right if you look on your mini-map. After she finishes, take the entrance out on the right ( - you may see a NPC quickly run to show you that.) Then you fall only a little bit, where you are back at the 'main' area by the entrance. Hope this helps in case you need the coords or in the rare case you die in the den and need to get back to the start of the den as horde, /way 51.16 42.72

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Burning BarrowEmerald Dream · Level 10-80

Fyrakk's forces have already set their plans in motion. We are one step behind, and we need to catch up quickly if we are to properly protect Amirdrassil. While you were on your way here, we received word of suspicious-looking figures entering one of the nearby barrow dens.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Not Yet LostEmerald Dream · Level 10-80

The flame did not take root here on a whim. No doubt there are servants of the Firelands cloistered within, trying to spread their flame to the creatures that reside within these barrows.
