Rutaani Rescue

Rutaani Rescue is a quest for level 83-88 in Harandar. It is step 2 of 6 in the Late Bloomers storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Harandar at 48.9, 29.7. It rewards 12,150 experience and money.

Description

Over the hill north of here is a fungarian village, Fungal Cleft. I believe the missing rutaani have been taken there.

The fate that awaits them is a brutal one if we do not get them back quickly. Usually, fungarians favor hosts that are already dead for their reproductive purposes. The ones here are strangely vicious, however. I have seen some mushroom-covered animals and rutaani who are still moving around! It is unnatural.

Go to Fungal Cleft and see if you can rescue the missing travelers.

Where to go

  • Late BloomersHarandar · Level 83-88

It is good to see you again, <name>. Orweyna told me that you might be able to help me with something. A group of rutaani were due to arrive here earlier today, but they're late. They're coming up from Blooming Terrace with my mentor, Ru'gar, and I am worried they've had trouble on the road.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Back in the BagHarandar · Level 83-88

What a mess this is. The sack you found was supposed to be filled with seeds. They're part of an important cultivation project that Ru'gar was working on. It appears the fungarians made off with the seeds when they captured the rutaani.
