Just a note.. when you first get this quest, the map tells you to go south from the quest hub. This is wrong, the area with the egg's is actually West of the hub. :P

The quest says to rescue the eggs from their talons so I started killing the harpies which was the wrong move. The eggs are not dropped by them but are on the ground next to trees in the area.

Description

There's a pattern to these Wormwing attacks. While groups make a showy assault on the shrine itself, others swoop into the nearby nests and make off with eggs from all the flying creatures of Hyjal. These animals are under our protection. Before we find out why the Wormwing are doing this, it's up to us to rescue as many eggs as we can from their talons.

Skylord Omnuron has been too gentle with the Wormwing harpies. He allows them to share a perch on this mountain just because they're creatures of the air. Well <class>, not all creatures of the air are created equal. When the attacks on Hyjal began, the Wormwing went into a frenzy.
