Strongarm Tactics

Strongarm Tactics is a Horde-only quest for level 10-35 in The Jade Forest. It is step 5 of 8 in The Jade Forest, First Contact storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Jade Forest at 31.7, 21.9. It rewards 4,800 experience and money.

Description

Scouting reports from the Strongarm Airstrip are in, and I've underlined a few high-priority targets for you.

Two gnomish mechanics have been keeping Alliance gyrocopters in the air. Take out the mechanics, and the gyrocopters' numbers will dwindle.

A dwarven death knight wanders their perimeter. He's an adventurer like yourself - loosely allied and highly dangerous.

Finally, a name I recognize: Corporal Jackson Silver. He's a hero of the Alliance and a deadshot with a crossbow.

Good luck, <name>.

For some reason in remix we could not see two of the mobs, but got the waypoints on mob location and it worked. Just no golden dot on map

Pet classes - you may find this challenging to complete. As a hunter, I killed [npc=65882] and [npc=65883] several times without getting quest credit. Only upon dismissing my pet was I able to secure the kill and receive credit.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Assault on the AirstripThe Jade Forest · Level 10-35

I have found their hidden airfield, <name>: the Strongarm Airstrip. It wasn't hard to spot, it's swarming with Alliance. <Nazgrim spits.> They think they've wiped us out, but we're Horde! We fight until we're corpses... and sometimes even afterwards. Let them taste our steel!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • ChoppertunityThe Jade Forest · Level 10-35

I spotted some shoulder-mounted rocket launchers on the way over here. They mighta been fireworks. I dunno. I'm just going to assume that they were shoulder-mounted rocket launchers until I'm proven wrong. Point is, in the arms of a skilled <class> like you, they could probably take down a chopper.
