TheWoWDBOnce you gather the Boiling Cauldron, it will follow you like a pet. You CAN mount up to return the cauldron, it will still follow you. Just be sure to not travel too far ahead of it, or it will despawn. I lost it several times because I wasn't giving it time to catch up.

For those of you who returned to quickly and lost your cauldron on the way back, the coordinates of the cauldron are 37,17.
Since the map doesn't show you where the cauldron is after the first part of the quest is complete, I had some trouble remembering where it was when I had to go retrieve it again.
Be careful, mobs in the area will attack your cauldron, even the neutral tricksters.

Description
Some of our trainees have... larger-than normal appetites. We have occasionally had difficulty supplying enough food for all of them. In times like these, we have to ask for help. A kindly older woman, who lives in a small house to the northwest, has agreed to make some stew for our trainees. All you need to do is go and get it.
