The Hungry Ettin

The Hungry Ettin is a quest for level 1-20 in Gilneas. It is step 61 of 100 in the Gilneas storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Gilneas at 37.7, 72.8. It rewards 2 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 2,100 experience and money.

Description

Listen, <name>. We're not going to make it very far without transportation, are we?

If we just hightail it out of here, the forsaken will catch up to us in no time at all.

Rounding up some horses from the stable grounds southeast of here would normally be a breeze, but there's one snag.

That last quake must've spooked Koroth, the ettin, down from the mountains. If we don't get our horses soon, I fear that he will.

For those idiots like me with carbonite.... or another such addon that just states were you can get the horses... and can't think for themselves.. You need to return to the gal that gave you the quest.

You're welcome.

F'ing Carbonite...

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Crowley OrchardGilneas · Level 1-20

Of course you remember Lord Darius Crowley's daughter, Lorna. She never quite recovered after losing her father in Gilneas City. She's basically led the life of a hermit. The only visitor she's allowed into her house has been Krennan... and he won't say a word about the whole thing.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Horses for DuskhavenGilneas · Level 1-20

Saving the horses might've saved the rest of the town. They have plenty of carriages in Duskhaven, but not enough horses to pull them. Go tell Mayor Armstead that the horses you saved are at her disposal. I'll get things ready and join you in a bit.

The storyline at a glance

Gilneas has 100 steps, from Lockdown! to Rut'theran Village.
