Why is this not marked on the map?
This seems to be a simple breadcrumb in Valdrakken, leading players to the Tome of History for the new Recap feature. On my main (which had completed all the Dragonfllght questlines previously) I was able to simply pick it up from Alexstrasza and turn it in at the Tome.

Description
I fear your time in Valdrakken must come to an end. Dark forces gather to threaten other parts of Azeroth. We will do what we can to uncover Iridikron's schemes. You must learn more of what has unfolded.
