A New Brute

A New Brute is a quest for level 10-80 in Emerald Dream. It is step 2 of 12 in the Eye of Ysera storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Emerald Dream at 52.7, 28.2. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

Galok is but another one of Fyrakk's minions. I will not be baited by his bluster.

The fire orb must be his doing. Its magic threatens to overwhelm the Eye. Ysera is channeling a shield from inside the temple, but it doesn't seem to be as effective as we expected.

Now, I must confront Galok. Use my magic to bolster our casters if they weaken. The defense must not fall!

You need to look up in the sky and find a red orb looking ball above you. Found at Waypoint 51.66 29.07. You have to fly up to the platform that they are on. The video that Wowhead provides helped me to figure out where they were at. They are called Emerald Preserver, when you put your cursor over them they are level 70 (Elite), they also give the name Dream Wardens, underneath their level 70 (Elite). They will not attack you, just put your cursor on them after you click on them, and use The Dreamer's Essence that is given to you when you pick up the quest from the quest giver. Hope this helps you all that are doing the quest A New Brute.

That is every comment on this page.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Eye of YseraEmerald Dream · Level 10-80

Galenori's report is deeply troubling. The Eye's temple is my seat of power here in the Dream. From it, I commune with the Eye's energies and monitor the health of the Dream and its denizens. The Eye's power flows throughout the Dream, and helps Amirdrassil grow.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Fire WatchEmerald Dream · Level 10-80

My mother seems unable to fully attune with the Eye. Perhaps it senses her ties to Ardenweald... Her shield is but a fraction of the Eye's power. If she was fully attuned, she could completely quench our foes' flames. But we cannot idly wait.
