Bait and Throttle

Bait and Throttle is a Horde-only quest for level 30-35 in Twilight Highlands. It is step 102 of 236 in the Twilight Highlands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Twilight Highlands at 54.8, 44.2. It rewards 1 reputation reward and 4,800 experience.

Description

You can hold your own on the ground, <name>. I'll give you that.

But we Dragonmaw dominate the skies as well as land. Until you can prove to me you can handle a drake as well as a Dragonmaw, your Horde is nothing to me.

Let's see if you can wrangle one back to Bloodgulch.

First you'll need bait. Go out and kill one of the gryphons that wander the woods west or northeast of here. Make sure it's untamed! Drakes hate the stink of dwarf on their food.

Get the gryphon carcass and you'll know what to do.

If you are having issues completing this because the gryphons are phasing out when you get close enough to tag them, you may need to do the Vulpera allied races quest chain that is in the area. It affected a couple quests for me, and this was the solution I found. Hopefully I can save someone else a day's worth of googling.
