At last, your hard work pays off as this is the final quest to open a two way portal to and from StormWind for those who like swift travel without paying 2g to get out of the area by griffon. (other alternatives include flying south yourself to Loch Modan and taking the griffon from there at a 1g90s saving)

What to do
Description
Our friends in the Earthen Ring have been trying to open portals back to Stormwind, with no luck. But Thordun here tells me he might just have the key. The crazed water elementals in the nearby Verrall River Delta have been sent into a frenzy. Thordun tells me we can channel their energy into a portal. I don't understand all this elemental-claptrap, but I understand one thing: killin' elementals and takin' their whirlpool cores. Deliver them to Talaa in the courtyard!

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Perfect Poultice
Are you goin' by way of the Verrall river delta? I've got a tip that'll help your men here... and my bird! When water elementals carve their way through rock, they create a peculiar kind of muck. It dries hard as stone but carries with it the rejuvenating power of water.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Way is Open
My fellow Shaman and I will stay here to keep the portal open. You should go upstairs and notify Kurdran that the work here is done. It'll please him to hear some good news for once.
