Crippling the Hive is a quest for level 50 in Dread Wastes. It is step 3 of 9 in The Mantid Threat storyline. It rewards 6,800 experience and money.
The mantid here are working feverishly to harvest amber from the tree.
Perhaps killing a pawful of them will slow their efforts.

I am not seeing a quest giver at the location where the map sent me. Anyone else having this issue?
The questline is as follows
1 Reflections-in-amber
2 Once-more-into-korvess
3 Crippling-the-hive
4 Rotten-at-the-roots entry at 47 16
5 Amber-secrets
6 Old-faces-new-problems
7 A-unified-swarm
8 Heart-of-the-swarm
9 The-mantid-threatFairly simple and easy questline :)
Check that you've done the prior quests in the chain. The map "!" for this quest seems to show even if it's not available yet. I had to pick up https://www.wowhead.com/quest=56575/once-more-into-korvess, and now that I'm on it, Taoshi shows up on a kite following me when I go near Kor'vess, offering this quest.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Storyline order is the client’s own QuestLine data from the current retail build.

You found this on a member of the swarm? It seeps with corruption... and with power. We could be faced with a serious threat if the rest of the mantid's amber is similarly corrupted.
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
Underneath Kypari Kor is a large chamber where the mantid tend to the tree. That must be where the source of the corruption lies. We need to get into that chamber and stop them. N'Zoth must not be allowed to empower the swarm.
The Mantid Threat has 9 steps, from Reflections in Amber to The Mantid Threat.
Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Dread Wastes (5), Vale of Eternal Blossoms (3), Vale of Eternal Blossoms (1).
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
