Inspecting the Ruins (Horde)

Inspecting the Ruins is a Horde-only quest for level 15-30 in Dustwallow Marsh. It is step 57 of 83 in the Dustwallow Marsh storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Dustwallow Marsh at 29.8, 47.7. It rewards 525 experience.

Description

If you follow the road south from the village, and then west toward the Barrens, you'll come across the ruins of the Shady Rest Inn.

Theramore has sent an investigator to discover how the inn met its fate. I had a man placed in that inn as a spy and I don't trust in the competence of these humans to uncover what happened.

Whatever you find, don't give a scrap of it to that investigator. We'll handle this ourselves.

As you would most likely have passed the Inn to get to the quest giver in the first place you have probably already picked up the three quests mentioned above, in which case this quest is a bit of a dead end and nothing whatsoever will happen next, aside from a rather rude rebuff from Inspector Tarem. Of course, this may all depend on reputation, etc. but I had already picked them up from the usual yellow exclamations and the pink arrows that used to indicate the spots did not appear.

When turning in this quest, the npc will move a bit from it's location. Pay attention at the purple signs that appears on the ground, which gives you a new quest: "Suspicious Hoofprints". In the middle of the floor, on a wood there is another purple sign which gives the quest: "Lieutenant Paval Reethe" and on the fireplace there is a thrid purple sign which gives the quest: "The black shield".

These maybe can help you to get Dustwallow Marsh quest achievement.
