Ishaal's Orb

Ishaal's Orb is a quest for level 30-40 in Spires of Arak. It is step 2 of 12 in the Secrets of the Talonpriests storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Spires of Arak at 48.0, 34.7. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,450 experience and money.

Description

The Adherents came for me, but I was already hiding. I watched from the shadows as they ransacked my hut.

Then I watched the Shattered Hand orcs arrive and butcher them like dinner fowl. Seems everyone is after us these days.

One of those orc thugs made off with my scrying orb. I will be needing it back if I am to be of any use to Iskar.

After I turned in Ishaal's Orb to [npc=80232], my character was somehow stuck inside of the [object=230988], the orb set in the claw of a gold/brass-colored stand on the ground in front of him.
It was as if [npc=80232] had miniaturized me and then teleported me inside his orb, in an instant, as soon as I turned in Ishaal's Orb!
I couldn't move or look around or do anything. It was bizarre. And my vision was limited to the inside of whatever I was inside (I swear it was the orb).
The issue resolved itself after I turned in the other quest from [npc=90232], New Neighbors.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Last of the TalonpriestsSpires of Arak · Level 30-40

Talonpriests live among us in secret, guarding the rites of the Talon King's return. The Adherent proclamation you acquired in Skettis revealed two of them living in the Shadowglade to the north. Orcs have moved into the region, and the Adherent's beam weapon left Veil Akraz a smoking crater.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • New NeighborsSpires of Arak · Level 30-40

The Shattered Hand clan is made up of orcs who can call no other clan home. They are sadistic warriors who maim their bodies, perhaps in a show of solidarity or perhaps because they simply enjoy the pain. It does not matter.
