With several mentions of the quest being bugged, has anyone else noticed the weakening potion not weakening the matrons? I have tried to do this quest several times and pulling one pulls all of them. If I throw the potion prior to the pull, it does nothing. If I thrown it after the pull, it does not damage any of them.

Something is severely messed up on this quest.

EDIT:

After another attempt one month later, the issue I had with the weakening potion not working appears to have been fixed, or at least it worked for me this time. All three Matrons will pull at the same time. My issue was, as a hunter, on my original attempts I sent in the pet to do the dirty work first. This time I decided to charge in with my pet, get all of them together, and then see if the potion worked on the group in close quarters. It did. The potion took away their elite status and they became normal mobs.

However, and I have not seen this mentioned, but it appeared that they were healing each other or healing themselves. Be aware of that.

More than anything else, I am so glad to be finished with Drustvar.

Description

The witches in charge, the matrons... <Ashton shudders for a moment then composes himself.> The matrons are the ones leading the Grand Rite. They are fearsome but not invulnerable. Removing some of them from the equation will bolster our chances of stopping this. Take this potion. It will be able to weaken the matrons so you might have a better chance of dispatching them.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Stopping the Grand RiteDrustvar · Level 20-60

The witches of the Crimsonwood are planning a Grand Rite, a powerful ritual. They intend to rip open reality and bring their dark master through! I suspect they may be in communion with Gorak Tul. We cannot allow their ritual to succeed.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Controlling the SituationDrustvar · Level 20-60

I have been observing this macabre army of, wood, flesh, and bone and how the witches and servitors control the lesser creations with charms. I believe I can craft an even more powerful charm - one we can use. In the hearts of the servitors are the very strongest charms.
