Re-Cursive

Re-Cursive is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Borean Tundra. It is step 123 of 182 in the Borean Tundra storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Borean Tundra at 57.4, 18.7. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

If you listened to the old man, then you know that we have gnomes out there that were changed. Gearmaster Mechazod infected them with something that reversed the "Curse of the Flesh", and now they're robots!

We think we have a way to re-curse them back to normal. We want you to take this re-cursive transmatter injection and use it on the corpses of any mechagnomes you come across.

We're hoping that this stuff will cure them and allow us to lock onto them to port 'em out of there.

Whaddya say, <name>?

WoWWiki:

The Curse of Flesh is an affliction suffered by some of the decedents of Azeroth's seed races, notably the dwarves and the gnomes. The curse changed the structure and appearance of these races from their original stony/metallic forms into the fleshy forms we know today.

The quest has you re-cursing (hence the name) gnomes who became re-metallicized by Gearmaster Mechazod.

In addition to this, the format chosen for the quest name is probably a reference to the Decursive mod.

  • It Was The Orcs, Honest!Borean Tundra · Level 10-30

With all of those outfits you, er, recovered, I fashioned a Warsong orc disguise. I had the genius idea of combining it with some old stuff that I had left hanging around from last Hallows' End, so it should be foolproof! Here, in this sack is the disguise and the banner you recovered.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Lefty Loosey, Righty TightyBorean Tundra · Level 10-30

Okay, I think we're ready for the penultimate assault... before you can bring down Mechazod, you're going to have to dismantle his lieutenants first! You'll find Twonky, ED-210, Max Blasto, and The Grinder at the West Point, North Point, Mid Point and South Point stations, respectively.
