If you fly beside/above Kaz'tik the Manipulator during the escort part, and out of reach of the "attackers", they wont attack you. This will make it incredibly faster and easier :)
I was on my mount the whole time in the pre-quest where he was summoned.

Note! These tactics can only be used if you have reached level 90 and learned the flying skill (Duh).

if you are trying to complete here's a bunch of things to look out for

  • he stops at 3 points to fight off mobs spawned by the quest

  • he doesn't fight with any patrols or lizards that just hang around the area normally so if you don't pull them you don't have to worry, I followed him while mounted and skipped a few mobs

  • you have to stay close to him though, if you get separated he will despawn, sometimes he decides to run off on his own, even while fighting quest mobs and will despawn, you have to stay with him if he does that and still fight off the mobs. Put a raid marker on him when you start the quest so you can follow him if he runs off mid-fight.

  • some of the bigger mobs can put a nasty bleed on you, so be careful, even after finishing the fight you can die from the bleed

What to do

StorylineDread Wastes, step 26 of 58
Rewards13g 74s, 4,800 XP

Description

You look at me and see I am no great warrior. Why was I chosen to be a Paragon? Not all weapons can be seen, Wakener. One should not judge by appearance alone. Before I explain further, I need to know that you are trustworthy. Something precious to me was hidden at the time of my preservation. I am nothing without it. Defend me as I unearth my greatest weapon, and you will have my trust.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • By the Sea, NevermoreDread Wastes · Level 30-35

The Klaxxi'va have spoken to me, outsider. The paragon is hidden in the Briny Muck only, he is not so hidden anymore. The lizard men surround him. He cannot fall into their scaley hands. You will find him; you will awaken him. Do not return without him!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Feed or Be EatenDread Wastes · Level 30-35

After years of working with the Kunchong I developed a theory; raising one from infancy would strengthen the bond and therefore strengthen the sonic connection. I had just begun training Kovok when I was chosen for encasement.
