That's Abominable! (ID 13264)

That's Abominable! is a Horde-only quest for level 25-30 in Icecrown. It is step 48 of 167 in the Icecrown storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Icecrown at 63.0, 45.3. It rewards 4 reward items, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

Abominations...

They can be a very capable enemy. I've seen them turn the tide of battle more than once. What few realize, is that they can also be very capable friends.

They are not deep thinkers. If you know the secrets of their creation, you can issue them basic orders that they will not question.

Fortunately for you, I know these secrets.

This kit will reanimate the remains of the abominations you defeat. Take it, and learn to use them against the Scourge on the death gate.

Kill Hulking Abominations around 70,62 until they drop Chilled Abomination Guts.
Use the quest item provided then start slaying the mobs just north of there.

One thing I noticed is that you MUST be in "The Broken Front", if you get too close to "Mordrethar Gate" you never get credit

Poke and ProdIcecrown · Level 25-30
While your commander has his focus diluted by his loathing of your Alliance rivals, you can depend on me to direct my attention squarely on the real enemy here - the Lich King and his minions. In order to hold any hope of conquering him at the citadel, your people must take and hold each gate.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

Against the GiantsIcecrown · Level 25-30
While it's going to be crucial to defeat the Scourge on the ground, we mustn't neglect the gate itself. The flesh giants on the ramparts are capable of hurling massive boulders and chunks of ice, inflicting devastating damage to enemy infantry below. Muster a force and defeat these giants.
