The Tainted Ooze

The Tainted Ooze is a quest for level 15-30 in Felwood. It is step 23 of 69 in the Felwood storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Felwood at 41.3, 50.5. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

This all started with Winna Hazzard. She was a forsaken apothecary at Bloodvenom Post, researching ways to use the demonic ooze here against the Alliance.

We warned her she was going too far, but she didn't listen, and we did not act fast enough. Now her and everyone at Bloodvenom Post are nothing more than mindless slime creatures...

The disgusting oozes she used for this still roam near the pools to the east and south. I beg you, <class>, destroy them so that others cannot commit such evil.

Bah, does it really matter that a NPC speaking to you does not speak with the utmost of perfect grammar? Imagine such a world. Kobold: Kindly sir, I request most wholeheartedly that you relinquish your attempts to remove my prized illuminating treasure from on top of my head.

  • A Slimy SituationFelwood · Level 15-30

This poor fellow here barely escaped Bloodvenom Post with his life! If we're going to keep him from turning into a slime creature like all the others, we've got to treat the infection. Mushrooms like to grow near the bright green waters around here, like the pond to the east beneath the falls.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Winna's KittenFelwood · Level 15-30

Mr. Tauren here's told me a lot about what happened at Bloodvenom Post. He says Winna Hazzard is still there! She's pretty far gone, but what's left of her is making a bunch of new slime. We've got to stop it! Luckily, I have a plan. Mr. Tauren said Winna used to have a kitten.
