If you are reading this, you no doubt have noticed that The Warden's Pawn is not initially available from Lead Prospector Durdin. The real start of the quest chain is one or both of the quests that start in Fuselight, Easily Swayed or When the Going Gets Tough, Cheat.
By the time you get through it all, you will be close to the Badlands questing achievement, so you might as well finish the zone.

As of today, with patch 4.1, I can confirm that this quest is _visually_ bugged.
(Yes, I have tried with disabling addons etc, no dice).
The issue, shortly put, is that once you move a piece, it will - regardless of its original facing - now _visually_ be facing the wall. The quest is still doable, assuming you do it in the simplest way.
1 2 3
4 X 5
6 7 8
All of these are facing outwards from the beginning, and with one free space to move, it's simply a case of getting the pairs sorted.
IE, activate piece number1, then 8, then 1. These two figures have now swapped sides, and are correctly faced.
Then piece 2, piece 7, piece 2. And so on.
This helped me do it without having the benefit of the visual heading of them.Source: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=27885#comments
Figured it would be of use here too, if you found it useful make sure to vote his comment on the original up :)
The entrance to the Tomb of the Watchers is at 50.4 / 48.4.

What to do
Description
Once those Reliquary honks got here, we panicked, and we all just started looting indiscriminately. A lot of bad archaeology happened that day. Luckily, Olga happened upon this small jade statue. We thought it to be a key of some sort, but can't figure out what it opens. Maybe you'll have some better luck with it.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- All's Fair in Love, War, and Archaeology
First things first, though. I'm not just going to sit here and tell you everything we've discovered down in those ruins. We've got problems to take care of! Most pressing is those upstart Reliquary hooligans, just on the other side of the tomb. They're makin' off with all of our loot!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Sentinel's Pawn
We very nearly had this statue stolen from us by one of Bloodwatcher's Reliquary stooges. We managed to catch him in the act, and we've retrieved the statue, but it hasn't really paid off. It appears to be a key of some sort, but I can't find the lock anywhere inside those ruins.
