TheWoWDBI did this quest today and I noticed that using the item on the glowflies I only took credit for one each time instead of all. when I used it at a specific group that I had already collected but respawned, it didn't give me any credit. There are around 19 groups of glowflies but you need 25 to finish the quest. I relogged and I could collect the groups of glowflies that I had collected previously. I don't know why this happened because I have done this quest noumerous times with other toons in the past and you could get credit for all the glowflies of the group. So if you find yourself stuck like me , just relog.

If you can't right click the glowflies and feel confused, you probably did the World Quest version of this quest before you did the actual quest. You can't right click in the actual quest, instead you need to use Glowfly Bottle from you inventory to collect the flies.

Long ago when the trolls began listening to the whispering darkness, I instilled portions of my power into the totems that surround my lair. I need that power now. In the swamps north of here are glowflies. Their magical essence will aid me in drawing the stored power from the totems. Collect them and return. Then you will see what I was capable of at the height of my strength.
