A Soulbind In Need

A Soulbind In Need is a quest for level 10-51 in Bastion. It is step 8 of 8 in the Eternity's Call storyline, the final step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Bastion at 48.2, 72.5. It rewards 4 reward items, 6,950 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

Pelagos is my Soulbind. He is my brother, my closest friend, my mentor, and my student. He knows me completely, and I him. It is a bond stronger than any other.

That he now struggles is a torment to me, but I am forbidden from intervening. An aspirant must succeed or fail on their own merits, or the trial is forfeit.

I am bound by this law... but you are not.

Please bring Pelagos back to me. This will not be his last trial. Not when he may finally have a chance.

To complete this quest you need to enter into the cave nearby and proceed all the way down.
There will be a room at the end, where you'll find both [npc=166323] (Save) and [npc=158630] (Kill).
Dont forget to pick up another quest The Things That Haunt Us as they can be done at the same location.

Pelagos is inside the cave with the clinging memories, from the pervious quest. Do NOT use map and drive around the top of the hills. Just enter the cave, go all the way in and kill the elite, Excruciating memory, at the end and Pelagos will jump down.

As you will soon learn, a ritual cleansing can be a... painful process. In most cases, the upwelling of emotion is harmless. It can even generate anima under the right circumstances. However... sometimes the result is far less pleasant.
