The Spellstone should appear as a button on your screen when you walk into the quest area, if not immediately. You may need to relog or reload (the button didn't appear for me at first when I picked up the quest, and so I just sort of stood there going "What spellstone?")

My bodyguard was killing the withered before I could calm them.

I found out, that, if I mount up and wait until my bodyguards mounts up too, and use the staff from the mount,
the calming was faster than the bodyguard could dismount.
So I could finish the quest without returning to my order hall and removing the bodyguard.

What to do

StorylineKel'danath's Legacy, step 6 of 6
RewardsEnchanted Nightborne Coin, 20g 22s, 6,150 XP

Description

Kel'danath discovered something incredible - the power to subdue and even control the withered. I will pick up where my old friend left off. We shall see to it that he did not die in vain. Perhaps in the end we can even find peace for the wretches who have been left to a fate worse than death. I will need more subjects. Take Kel'danath's spellstone and use it to subdue more withered.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
