Apex Predator

Apex Predator is a quest for level 45 in Suramar. It is step 6 of 7 in the Hunting the Hunters storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Suramar at 48.0, 52.3. It rewards 1 reward item, 6,150 experience and money.

Description

I have good news and bad news, <race>.

The bad news is that they somehow managed to capture and train a Devilsaur.

The good news is that it doesn't seem to have a collar and is tame. I imagine it must think that one of the Nightborne in there is its master. Find the pack leader and take him out, and we will set quite a beast upon them.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Survival of the FittestSuramar · Level 45

The collar you took from the trapper is simple, but effective. Affixing the collar to a target will make them complacent and obedient to their Nightborne masters. Lilryia was able to reverse the spell using the traps you found.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Shalassic ParkSuramar · Level 45

We have a Devilsaur. I think she sees you as the pack leader now. She should obey your commands. She looks hungry. Why don't you let her off the leash a little bit?

The storyline at a glance

Hunting the Hunters has 7 steps, from Scouting the Crimson Thicket to Shalassic Park.

Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Suramar (7).

Other storylines on the Suramar map

Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
