Coffee is for Closers

Coffee is for Closers is a quest for level 80 in Undermine. It is step 19 of 20 in the Hard Ways at the Gallagio storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Undermine at 56.8, 44.3. It rewards 5,900 experience and money.

Description

You've got us the hard evidence we needed. All that's left to do is reveal Rosebud's killer to the judge.

I imagine Tarbonara won't go down lightly, so be prepared for one of any number of goblin-like reactions.

You know what I mean. Explosions or cannons or crying or casino heists or whatever. I'm not worried though, you seem capable.

Spent a week frustrated at not being able to finish this quest on multiple toons. Kept getting stuck the final step “Ruling notarized”. Once I rescue the judge, there are two Martys to turn the quest into: 1 is standing still and the other is running around; niether will let me complete quest and I get stuck holding the judges body.

Things I tried: reset UI, did the quest with ZERO addons, left the zone entirely, logged out by exiting client completely. Dropped quest and redid it so many times. Put in tickets (no help from game masters), put in bug reports and nothing.

Finally.. WHAT DID WORK. Don't rescue judge from robots hands, wait until robot explodes and pick up judge from the floor. Run around the stupid desk (where you first presented the murder evidence at the beginning of the quest) until the judge is thrown on top of it (took a few laps). Click on letter to notarize (should be shining) and quest is finally completed. Jesus what a weird thing…

If you're a druid or using any other kind of mount/shapeshift form, go back to normal/non-shifted form to see if you're carrying the judge and to be able to complete the next step.

Then, go behind the desk (where the judge would sit) and it'll auto-deposit him onto the desk.

He'll sign, then you can click on the paper to collect it.

Turn in the quest to the lawyer who's standing still, not the one running around.

I initially couldn't see anything had changed while in moonkin form but once I shifted back to normal I could see I was holding the judge and able to drop him on his desk.

Fun questline otherwise!

I'm all set to make our case. Just one tiny, little, minor thing to let you know about... There's a bomb under my desk here. Don't be alarmed! It ain't the first time this has happened. But there's a lot of people here, and I'd hate to interrupt the proceeding for one little explosive.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Oh, That Casino!Undermine · Level 80

You'd make a good lawyerer, you know that? Hah! Just kidding! The real industry secret is that there's no such thing as a good lawyerer! Why don't you join me at the Gallagio's entrance? It'll be a nice send off for the kids who are gonna run this place now.
