Fighting For Fungus

Fighting For Fungus is a quest for level 60 in Ardenweald. It is step 4 of 6 in the Saving the Stalks storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ardenweald at 29.5, 34.6. It rewards 10,200 experience and money.

Description

Behold, Marasmius!

This is his home, his heart. Every mushroom in Ardenweald, maybe even all of the Shadowlands, stems from here. And the masked fae want to take him for their own purposes. As chief mushroomancer, I cannot abide this.

Our foes may look mindless, but they are clever. They will have tracked my position by now.

I shall make my final stand here, and hope that Marasmius is strong enough to lend his aid.

Will you stand with me, <class>?

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Ring RepairsArdenweald · Level 60

The damage wrought here is severe, but it can be reversed. My master is weakened by all this destruction, but mushrooms are difficult to completely eradicate. By restoring power to the rings throughout the grove, we can strengthen them once again. Take this beacon.

  • My Way or the HyphaeArdenweald · Level 60

<An old, booming voice fills your mind.> Hmph. More are coming. I would rather not lose more of myself, and I don't want you to think I'm not appreciative of the work you and Cort here have done. How about you take a ride on the rings and give those oafs a good thrashing?
