He Drew Aggro...culture

He Drew Aggro...culture is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-40 in Gorgrond. It is step 4 of 8 in the We Need An Outpost storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Gorgrond at 63.2, 51.8. It rewards 5,450 experience and money.

Description

What you saw was the wake of the genesaur, Iyu. It was chasing this mechanical monstrosity and the person who drove it.

I believe the pilot of this vessel is still alive and trapped within the ruins of the camp.

If you wish them to be recovered, I recommend doing so now.

How to locate the NPC needed for the quest: you'll need to get past all the podlings - follow the path (towards the cave where you found the survivors for another quest), to the area where you see a tentacle waggling around -- the NPC is in its grips, so defeat the podlings in the area (there are three that hides right in front of the tentacle), as well as any of the mobs (they're easily aggro'd)... Once you're free from them, it takes maybe two or three attacks on the tentacle, and it disappears. The NPC is freed. Just talk to him, then you can go back to the tank to meet up with the NPC and hand it in.

Sorry it's a bit confusing, but hopefully this helps. :)

If someone is stuck the way I was (Thaelin was till scared and quest was stuck after hitting the vine), then you can try to do what I did. Accept the quest, then go to Thaelin and his vine, cancel the quest and you'll notice that now Thaelin has a Quest Marker on him. Accept his quest and it's as if it continues normally.

  • I Drew Aggro...cultureGorgrond · Level 15-40

<name>? Boy am I glad to see ya. I was tryin' ta ditch that genesaur when I stumbled across this rangari camp. Next thing I know, the ground is creepin' up and spittin' out all sorts of angry plants. I barely made it out of me tank before that genesaur threw it like it was an empty beer mug.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Wake of the GenesaurGorgrond · Level 15-40

One moment we see a great metal beast rolling into our camp, the next a genesaur follows it and sends a wave of pure chaotic life at us. The manifestations left behind by the genesaur must be culled so we have time to salvage what we can before leaving.
