If you're like me and you came to Gorgrond solely because you wanted to follow Yrel's storyline, then you will want to choose the Lumber Mill. I've been told that the Sparring Arena does not include any Yrel quests and thus it is a waste of time!

After clicking on the table you can choose from two options:
- The Highpass Logging Camp will grant you the ability to Summon Mechashredder 5000
- The Highpass Sparring Ring will teach you the ability Champion's Honor
Note that each choice will give you different quest chains to continue with.
Both should give you a Command Table, Inkeeper, Mailbox, Flightmaster, Stable master, Forge and Anvil, just like every reasonable quest hub. (except that the repair npc is somehow missing.)EDIT: Thaelin Darkanvil is the guy who can repair your stuff here. He probably was not available for repairs in older beta build or he was glitched for me.
From Warlords of Draenor Follower Guide:
- Building the Lumber Yard unlocks [follower=211.1] and [follower=159.1].
- Building the Sparring Arena unlocks [follower=176.1] and [follower=212.1].And to clarify other comments, choosing the Lumber Yard initiates a quest chain involving [npc=81590] that sends you to the southern part of the zone, while the Sparring Arena starts a chain involving Rexxar in the northern part of the zone. Both will end with attacking the Iron Horde at the Iron Docks.
The Sparring Arena is also needed for Prove Your Strength.

What to do
Description
Commander, we've gathered enough materials to build an outpost that will support our mission against the Iron Horde. How shall we proceed? A lumber yard would be valuable for gathering resources in the dense overgrowth to the south, and in confronting the plant monstrosities that defend it. On the other hand, a sparring arena would provide us the brutish forces we'd need to push through the magnaron wastelands to the north. When you're ready, make your choice on the table.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

- Lost Mole Machines
Few people know the Blackrock clan better than Dark Iron dwarves. So after Tanaan, we sent a bunch of mole machines to Gorgrond to build a listenin' post to keep an eye on them. Me own mole machine got way off course an' I got separated.
