I went first to the right, then middle, (the creature attacked) then left...
Some posters have listed a specific order for using (decrypting) the stones. In my opinion there is no "set" order. Mine was right stone first, then the middle stone, then the left and final stone. Your's might be left first, then middle, etc....etc...
After clicking / using each stone, the cog wheels above them disappear and you will no longer be able to use (decrypt) them, and the quest is complete.

Description
This is a very ancient place, traveler. Only recently have I pieced together a method of translating the forgotten language carved into these stones. Oh, the thrill of discovery! This never gets old, I assure you. Here, you are the guest. You do the honors. I insist. Use this key to unlock the secrets the stones contain.
