Missing Persons

Missing Persons is a quest for level 45 in Suramar. It is step 4 of 8 in the Missing Persons storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Suramar at 52.1, 79.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,150 experience and money.

Description

Our new friend brings us some disturbing information.

She claims to have seen a large number of citizens dragged from Starcaller Retreat in chains. Their destination appears to be Astravar Harbor.

Those taken to the harbor have yet to return, however. Worse yet, the area is now overrun with demons.

I need you to find out where these people went. Infiltrate the harbor and gather any information you can.

Start with the Legion filth- their corpses may point us in the right direction.

You have to loot [item=142066] from felhunters or jailers at the central dock, seems drop chance is terrible low, i slayed around 10-12 demons. Also, you dont need to run there mounted, there's a violet rune painted on the floor, Slowfall rune, interract with it and you'll be sended to the dock.

Upon obtaining the Legion Communicator for this quest, you hear an npc say the following:

Aargoss says: Tichar! Your attention!
Aargoss says: The Nightborne have agreed to cast off their unwanted.
Aargoss says: The passage to Felsoul Hold is open. See that our prisoners reach their destination.
Aargoss says: The Soul Engine will consume! Kar Dan'Ashj!

I find this extremely amusing, as I happen to know that tichar is demonic for cheese. Meaning that one of the demons you just murdered was literally named, Cheese.

Only reason I am leaving a comment is because it seems like a straight forward quest. Kill something, get the communicator, done. But I had to kill about ten of the demons to get the communicator to drop. Also, had never been to this part of the city before as I assume like everyone has just got flying so interesting tidbit. The area in the center where the bridge connects to the city and to the mainland is where the Nighthold Raid takes place. Thought it looked familiar.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • More Like MeSuramar · Level 45

Greetings, Outlander. I am Victoire. I served Elisande while she maintained peace in the city. I fought beside demons and worse for the greater good. The massacre at the Waning Crescent made it clear that she no longer serves the Nightborne. She serves only herself.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hostage SituationSuramar · Level 45

Our own people, sacrificed to the Legion! We need to intercept a transport if we intend to put an end to this trade. I'm afraid this does mean you will be playing the part of a captive, my friend. Before voicing your concerns, try to have a little faith.
