Power Unearthed is a quest for level 30-40 in Spires of Arak. It is step 1 of 7 in the Legacy of the Apexis storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Spires of Arak at 36.9, 24.5. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 675 experience and money.

Description

What power could reduce a village to ashes in the blink of an eye? The Adherents claim it is the will of Rukhmar.

A lie, obviously.

They did nothing to earn such power - in truth, they stumbled upon it rather unwittingly, in a hole in the ground.

Come and visit me near the excavation site just west of here. We must understand their technology if we are to defeat it.

Well, I'm trying to do this quest currently and I can't seem to find the questgiver at all. On my large map there is an exclamation point right where I'm standing and it says the name of this quest, however when I look on my minimap it's not there and there's nothing around giving a quest that I can see. All I see is the burning building and the tent building behind it with nobody around.

Is this a glitch or am I not in the right phase or something?

EDIT:

Apparently you have to go through the questline where you drink the elixir to see the shadows. Finish the quest A Feast of Shadows first and then you'll be able to get this quest.

The quest is available at any time however the quest giver is hidden until you imbibe the Major elixir of shadows which is given for the quest "Behind the Veil". This is the quest that tells you to go to Zellek's hut in Veil Akraz. Once the elixir is taken, the quest giver will appear. The Major elixir of shadows is timed and is reusable.

Actually, "A Feast of Shadows" (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=34883) is what you get once the quest is available. In order to be able to see the qeust giver, you have to be phased, using the elixir. Complete New Neighbors and Ishaals Orb in order to unlock Behind the Veil (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=34830), which let's you access the quest giver.
