Sampling Steam

Sampling Steam is a quest for level 73-75 in The Ringing Deeps. It is step 3 of 4 in the Magma-nificence storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Ringing Deeps at 36.9, 21.4. It rewards 9,900 experience and money.

Description

The effects of the magmatic buildup are clear to see, but what we still do not understand is the root cause.

In order to determine it, and prevent it in the future, I need samples of the volcanic gases you can see bursting from the ground.

Fresh samples. Very fresh.

You're going to have to stand in them as they erupt in order to gather what I need.

YOU MIGHT NOT NEED TO DO ALL THE QUESTS TO COMPLETE [Magma-nificence]!

(I am not 100% sure, this is my experiance)

When I get to the quest area there were all quests available for the Magma-nificence which is the part of the achievement Sojourner of the Ringing Deeps.
[An Igneous End], [Magmanagement], [Sampling Steam], and most importantly, last part of the quest: [Cinderbrew Reserve]

Once I get to the quest area, I accepted all quests and directly went to do [Cinderbrew Reserve] and I got credit for [Magma-nificence] when I did completed [Cinderbrew Reserve] and didn't need to do the rest.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • MagmanagementThe Ringing Deeps · Level 73-75

As if the pipe going down wasn't enough, a horde of magmatic elementals burst out when it failed. We can't risk sending anyone else down to attempt repairs while the area is overrun, but that magma is vital to powering the whole Deeps.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Cinderbrew ReserveThe Ringing Deeps · Level 73-75

Trade may have been restricted, but I'll calcify before I let my Cinderbrew Reserve fall into the hands of these stripped screws or go up when some elemental looks at it funny.

The storyline at a glance
