This quest opens up the Heart Forge, which allows you to use essences on your Heart of Azeroth.

The Heart Forge is in Sitithus where Magni is. Click on the triangle on the ground outside, and once inside, go the the middle of the circle. Shift-click on your necklace and right click on the essence you want to add. Now at the forge, you can change the essence to any of them that are highlighted.
