The Oasis (K'aresh)

The Oasis is a quest for level 80 in K'aresh. It is step 12 of 15 in the Desert Power storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in K'aresh at 75.8, 34.2. It rewards 1,450 experience and money.

Description

Soul-Scribe would fight for us, even die for our cause. Yet she still denies us her Reshii Ribbon. She sees it as a tool of the Ravel, and her oaths are getting in the way of our mission.

If she could feel the presence of the Worldsoul K'aresh once again, she would give anything to protect him--even the ribbon. The Oasis is the Trust's eco-dome that has a stable biome. The perfect place to commune with a Worldsoul, if one still exists.

If you get stuck like me just standing there with "The Oasis" still not completed, talking to the guy over and over while only given the option of "Let's talk about something else"... Go inside the dome. At 75.8, 34.2 , there's the turn in at Om'talad.

That's what worked for me at least. Dunno why so many little bugs like this are in this chain.

For anyone else losing their mind not being able to progress this quest on alts, even after trying the all of other comment's advice - make sure you complete the first step of "Custodian Duties" (other campaign quest that's located in the same eco-dome).

Otherwise, Om'talad will not spawn anywhere and you will be stuck.

I had a different problem. Once I turned in distribution of power, there was no follow up quest even accepted or on the map anywhere. I did a f ull exit of the game and launcher and logged back in. The quest did not pop up until I flew around a bit and then it popped up at the Oasis dome. The exact spot is 73.69, 38.24. It's to the south west of the flight point.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Distribution of PowerK'aresh · Level 80

My people need energy to live. We can harvest it from the pylons that were set out to collect it or hunt the energy scavengers that have siphoned off what is ours. Let's gather today's meager bounty of energy and then distribute it to my people.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Restoring HopeK'aresh · Level 80

This dome is a reasonable facsimile of K'aresh. We will find no better place for Soul-Scribe to hear the Worldsoul's song. And yet, as Dimensius grows in power, even the Oasis succumbs to the Void. I can feel the rifts tearing open. Their energies will disrupt this delicate ritual.
