They're little yellow flowers that are hard to see on the amber color of the grass. They're only found near trees though as far as I can tell, so finding them won't be too hard. They don't show up as herbs for tracking purposes either. Every time you pick one you get a debuff called Living Ire that increases damage done and damage taken by 20% and turns you red for 1m (good to use in conjunction with the collect 80 feathers quest in the same area).
If, like me, you enjoy playing your game on Ultra these little plants can be VERY difficult to spot due to how lush Blizzard has now made the environments. If you go to the Video settings and turn the "Ground Clutter Density" to the lowest possible setting it makes these things extremely easy to find. Once finished you can go back to your regular setting and keep on playing. Good luck!
This is part of a quest chain in which the player aids Kalecgos (the new blue dragon aspect) in finding Azuregos and protecting him from the black dragonflight. It spans much of the land of Azshara and is composed of many quests, several of which are completely original in their concepts.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Every man's got to learn his own lessons I suppose. Here, take my wizard hat. I have no doubt that he'll take you on as an apprentice if you look the role... you just might have to jump through some hoops first. Tiny flaming hoops, suspended over spikes, with spinning blades on the other side.

We're going to need some more animate basalt. There's only one reliable source for that in the area, a mountain giant named Balboa. We can't be killing the mountain giant if we want to keep stocked in the stuff long term, so we've just been chipping off pieces at a time.
