Work Order: Highmountain Salmon

Location: Fish anywhere in Highmountain, both open water or fish pools.

Hand in to [npc=106902] located on the top level of the building, SW from the flight path (turn right).

Objective: Catch 40 x Highmountain Salmon.

Reward: 1 x Random rare fish lure such as [item=133701], [item=133721].

Notes:

• 
  
• If the world quest Assault on Thunder Totem is active, on arriving at Thunder Totem the area will be phased with attacking and hostile NPCs on the top deck.
• 
  
• Also, [npc=106902] will be phased out so you will need to complete the assault quest first in order to deactivate that phase and speak to the hand in NPC.
• 
  
• For the hand in alternatively store the salmon in your bank (no need to have them in your inventory) prior to the quest, or purchase from the Auction House and hand in.
• 
  
• Actually fishing the Highmountain Salmon will not be quick because there are currently not many fish pools in the zone close together and are often on varying levels making it time consuming to gather, especially 40.
• 
  
• It may be easier to simply fish the open water around Thunder Totem to catch them at approximately a 20% drop rate.
• 
  
• The quest icon on the World Map can be partially hidden under the Assault on Thunder Totem quest icon, so double check carefully. Or use the Active World Quests: North America (or EU version) tool on this site; deselect all quest Types except the Professions & Skills option which should help.

Edit:
Updated to reflect the random fish lure reward. I got the [item=133701] and others reporting (including the wowhead wolrd quest maps) [item=133721]. Perhaps this varies between NA and EU or simply is randomly set each time it is up.

That world quest didn't spawn for atleast 3 months, wondering if it's not working as intented
