***ATTENTION*** 120's MAX LEVEL PEEPS! Take off all your gear, get rez sickness and ONLY use melee attacks (DO NOT USE THE AVAILABLE ABILITIES). Play it safe, I would suggest activating a weak spec and not activating any abilities. To do melee attack as Stormhoof, right-click the guy and should auto attack....turn off all add on's too.

I did this in Shadowlands.

You do not need rez sickness or anything. Just don't use any of the action bar abilities and instead right-click him. It will melee him down until he turns green and you can loot the item.

Bad advice from other people.

To do this quest you have to complete a chain of quests.

  1. Xarantaur, the Witness

  2. The Witness and the Hero
    - Right as you leave the hut you find the first scroll next to the Tunka'lo Brave standing at the path up to the mountain top.
    - The second scroll is on the way up to the mountain top next to Hapanu Coldwind.
    - The third scroll is on the mountain top at the entrance of the inn.

  3. Memories of Stormhoof
    - Go to 62,41 (without coords: the top most cave north-west of Camp Tunka'lo) and speak with Chieftain Swiftspear inside the cave. You have to click his chat bubble only once and just wait until he finishes. Some people reported they had to click it more often to actually start the story.

  4. Distortions in Time
    - Use The Chieftain's Totem to close the yellow rifts in the cave.
    - Turn in Distortion in Time and Memories of Stormhoof at Xarantaur at Camp Tunka'lo.

  5. Where Time Went Wrong & The Hero's Arms
    - Enter the cave at 67,45 (without coords: just go straight north from Camp Tunka'lo and enter the first cave you see).
    - Now start to kill Scion of Storm mobs which are inside the cave. They will drop both Stormhoof's Spear and Stormhoof's Mail.
    - Loot the parts that lay around in the cave to complete Where Time Went Wrong.
    - Turn in both quests at Xarantaur.

  6. Finally you can do Changing the Wind's Course
    - Go to the ruined temple at 64,47 (without coords: west of Camp Tunka'lo) and use The Lorehammer. Now you're Stormhoof and you have to kill Northwind. Use you're AE when ever it's up and shock him when he tries to cast. The rest of the fight you can run from him since he's pretty slow and wait for your CDs to refresh. As he dies he will drop a horn. Loot the horn and blow it.
    - Turn the quest in at Xarantaur and choose your reward.

What to do

StorylineThe Storm Peaks, step 71 of 113

Description

At last, we have all that we need to right the wrongs of the North Wind and its followers. You have attuned the Lorehammer to Stormhoof's time and his persona. Take the hammer again, head to the Temple of Life in the plains to the northwest. Use the hammer to assume the role of Stormhoof. Face the North Wind as Stormhoof, but realize that for the timeline to be restored, Stormhoof must die as the North Wind weakens. Then, you must find and use the Horn of Elemental Fury to destroy the North Wind.

  • The Hero's ArmsThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

Not all of the camp's records have yet been corrupted. My staff has helped me to find those records which reflect the true timeline. They agree that Stormhoof was given a burial of honor among the village elders on the bottom level of the Howling Hollow, to the north.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • They Took Our Men!The Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

You have to help us! We were in the middle of an expedition into the mountains to set up a transmission tower when we were attacked. They looked like vrykul, except their skin was blue and layered with frost... and they were all female! They took all the men in the expedition and let us women go.
