Filling the Cages

Filling the Cages is a quest for level 15-30 in Grizzly Hills. It is step 16 of 115 in the Grizzly Hills storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Grizzly Hills at 16.2, 47.6. It rewards 6 reward items, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

'Ol Budd's seen better days.

Ever since our stay in Ghostlands he's been useless to us. We've had to find ways to make it on our own, and today that means sellin' trolls to the highest bidder.

Fortunately, we've recently found a use for Budd. Something about his condition allows him to mingle with the local trolls, so we taught him a little game that's turned us a tidy profit.

See for yourself. Talk to Budd, take him southwest to Drak'Zin Ruins and use this cage as soon as he tags a troll.

The troll village is located at 13, 61.
You must not engage the troll you wish to trap.
Tell Budd to hit him when you're about 20 yards away from the target.
If you screw up, you have to run all the way back to the camp to pick him up again.
Follow-up: Truce?

Just to make it perfectly clear - "talk to Budd" means "use his (pet) ability". It's the fourth button on your pet bar. By the way, don't use it when someone else is already approaching with his own Budd, or they may cage the target before you can, and you'll need to get yourself a new Budd. Also, don't worry if the target aggroes you. Just tell Budd to sap him quickly, don't do anything yourself yet, and then you can still cage.

  • My Enemy's FriendGrizzly Hills · Level 15-30

If there is one thing I can get through your head, let it be this: the Alliance will be crushed in the Grizzly Hills. There is far too much lumber, ore, game and strategic territory for us to give up on any single battlefront here. So far we've been successful...

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Truce?Grizzly Hills · Level 15-30

Watch yerself, mon. Drakuru shrunk more <race> heads than I can remember - and even if I could remember, I couldn't count that high. Lucky for you I be stuck in dis cage or I'd be addin' one more to da list. But things bein' what they are, mebbe we be puttin' our differences aside fer a time, eh?
