TheWoWDBMost likely a reference to Raistlin Majere of the Dragonlance series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Raistlin was often called Raist for short, and he was the twin of Caramon. Although not necessarily an evil character (you see his good side throughout the books at times), Raistlin eventually adopts the black robes.

I had seen Karam Magespear around for weeks, but never made the connection until getting here on my Mage alt. As soon as I saw the Twisted Twin and Raest the penny dropped. So awesome they dropped a Dragonlance easter egg, especially the twins, the books were my Harry Potter as a young teen. I've reread them so many times. Seek out Dragons of Autumn Twilight if you haven't read it before. The books and world were based around a D&D world the authors used in their campaigns with friends and the characters in the book are inspired by the RP they all enjoyed.
