If during this quest Alexander Treadward dies and you can't seem to turn the quest in, just leave the area (mount up, go south a bit) until you get out of the pretty filter mode, then come back. The filter mode will come back and the Alexander will be above ground and ready to rock for you.

Wait, he has a grave but his bones still lie at the gazebo?
So if Lucille visits him she only has to walk a bit to gaze at his bones. That's... weird.
This quest is very buggy right now. If anything weird happens (no one is there to turn in quest though you have a ? on your mini-map, people die and no one notices, etc), just run out of the area (south) until you phase out, and then run back.

What to do
Description
A terrible thing happened in this place, and it has doomed me to an eternity of walking these grounds. All I remember is that Lucille and I were to be wed, but instead I met my end. If you have an ounce of sympathy in your heart, then I beg you to help me. Find out what happened that night, so I might leave here. I know my strongest memories are tied to the ring I bore for Lucy that day. Find it among my bones, and maybe it will lead you to the answer.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

- To Have Loved and Lost
I have a favor to ask you of a... personal nature. Whitegrove Chapel lies to the north, just past the town of Corlain. Someone... important to me rests in the graveyard on its grounds. I've been unable to visit his grave for some time, and I would like to pay my respects.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Running Late
I beg your pardon, but I am a little concerned at Lord Waycrest's tardiness. I'd hate to be a bother, but would you mind checking on him? The ceremony awaits his presence. You can find him in the bride's room, at the top of the tower.
