Slaying the foul creatures that plague the river will not be enough, <name>.
A new generation of these monstrosities already threatens to spawn within our holy waters.
Seek their foul eggs and destroy them.

Its actually called a "Dam". =P "Damn" is the curse/swear/verb word that means "to condemn to Hell."
The eggs that you have to destroy are just in front of the damn under water. You can also finish the slitherer quest at the same time,...easy peasy!
Also, curiously, the first quest since vanilla where the quest giver gave neither a buff nor an item to provide underwater breathing. At least, I could not find an item and I had no buff when I left him.
Another sign, similar to the one where healers OOM every few pulls, that the old-school quest design is back.
| Type | Reward | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Experience | XP | 4,800 |
| Money | Gold | 13g 74s |
| Reputation | Ramkahen | +250 |
The cat-like people of Ramkahen are the descendants of the Tol'vir, guardians of Uldum. Though they've lost their stone bodies, protecting the secrets of the titans is still a part of their rigid tradition.
Reputation group: Cataclysm.
Other quests in Uldum that reward Ramkahen reputation: Under the Choking Sands (+250), Minions of Al'Akir (+250), The Prophet Hadassi (+75), The Prophet's Dying Words (+75), Colossal Guardians (+250), Send Word to Phaoris (+150).

Shortly after Uldum's protective barriers fell, the Vir'naal river became afflicted with a terrible corruption. Whether it was brought here maliciously or accidentally is not of great significance. The result is the same.

Ah, I can already see more clearly, <name>. We are right to be wary of the evil Neferset. I can already sense that they're behind the forces that corrupt the river. Go underwater once more and find the Murkdeep Cavern. You will find the Neferset are performing a foul ritual of corruption.
