Strike While the Iron is Hot (ID 36575)

Strike While the Iron is Hot is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-40 in Gorgrond. It is step 1 of 2 in The Iron Approach storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Gorgrond at 52.8, 59.7. It rewards 4 reward items, 675 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

With the Will of the Genesaur, we wield a powerful weapon.

Our scouts have discovered an Iron Horde base, and I believe this is the time to seize an opportunity.

They amass far to the north at the Iron Approach. This will not be easy, but we must deal a blow to the Iron Horde while we possess the artifact.

We are prepared to depart at your command. Speak with Rangari Rajess when you are ready.

Access to this quest also requires you to have completed the outpost-related quest chain that awards a follower. That's A Rediscovered Legend if you chose the Sparring Arena and Tangleheart if you chose the Lumber Yard.
For now, this may be difficult for players who chose the arena, as the questgiver who starts that chain is bugged and missing on many realms.

If you are stuck without a clue after the quest (and scenario) ends, go a bit south to the nearest yellow flight point that can be seen on the map and take the flight to Highpass, not to your Garrison, so that you can turn in the quest.

If you are having difficulty completing this quest, change your dungeon difficulty to Heroic and you should be able to complete it.
Quest turn-in is NOT at your garrison, though the NPC says so. The turn-in is at your zone outpost.
