The Rift and the Den

The Rift and the Den is a quest for level 83-88 in Harandar. It is step 4 of 19 in the Of Caves and Cradles storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Harandar at 54.8, 51.2. It rewards 1,500 experience and money.

Description

As I suspected, the elders are quite upset with my actions. Now that I have seen the children and Ku'paal to safety, I am ready to face the Council.

I will do what I can to make them see that the Lightbloom is a threat, and to enable your ability to move freely through Harandar.

Petalvane will carry you safely to the Den. Let us make haste.

Halduron will not be there for you to hand in the quest if you are on the 12.0.7 questline at the same time as this. (Because 12.0.7 makes you level ridiculously fast now so you’re 90 when entering Harandar, and Blizzard doesn’t give a single *!@# about story coherence so they allow you to pick up the 12.0.7 story quest before finishing the 12.0.0 campaign.)

Clearing the 12.0.7 questline up to finishing the Maisara Caverns quest fixes it.

If you have Hagar's Invitation when you go to turn this in, the NPCs won't be there. You have to abandon the Hagar's Invitation quest. Don't worry, you can go pick it back up later in the city. I don't know if future quests in the Legacy of the Amani quest line do the same thing but if they do you may also have to abandon them and pick them back up where those quests start.

This happened for me after getting all available campaign quests before coming to this area.

So yeah, I'm 90 and just got the quest, landed, and no NPC's. Abandoned the quest, required it, landed, and the same...I cannot turn this in. I also already did the quest in the Den for the Meeting. Any ideas how to complete this so that I can actually do the remaining Chapter Quests?

All of the world's roots grow toward our homeland. The ones above you are mighty, but new--born of a fledgling World Tree you call Amirdrassil. As far as World Trees go, it is a strange one. But its nature matters less than its reach.
