Excising the Incursion

Excising the Incursion is a quest for level 80 in The Maw. It is step 1 of 12 in the Paths Forward storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Maw at 25.6, 32.5. It rewards 11,750 experience and money.

Description

The Devouring Host must have somehow followed us here.

I don't know what they could want with a place like this, but I can't imagine the Void is suddenly infused with benevolent purpose. We can't allow this incursion to get out of hand.

Slay as many of them as you can manage. Enough to thin their numbers, at least.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

These monstrosities certainly wasted no time once they arrived. They are snatching up souls left and right and drowning them in void magics. Take my holy symbol. It should be potent enough to drive away the shadows that cling to any lingering souls.
